Established 50 years ago, Shylo Kennels is one of the top show kennels in the country. Our management team has over 140 years of experience in caring for dogs. This is important because experience matters.
In recent years there have been a number of new kennels and doggy day care businesses that have sprouted up in the Denver area and have no more background than having owned a dog. While simply owning a dog is quite a learning experience, it’s not the same as the level of experience we’ve gained over our many years on a professional level.
Kelly N. - Aurora, COKnow that a 5-star review from me is nearly impossible. These guys EARNED every little 5-pointed accolade I’m giving them. Actually, it’s not me who’s really writing the review. I can tell from my dog that he was happy, well-treated, given lots of love and treats — all for much less than other facilities.
Having bred over 135 American Champion Afghan Hounds since the 70s, Shylo Kennels is one of the top winning Afghan Show Kennels in the country. We’ve bred almost half as many Greyhound Champions. We’ve also shown Champion Whippets, Welsh Corgis, Shelties, and Bedlington Terriers.
Bruce was an AKC licensed handler in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, and now exclusively shows Shylo Dogs. Steve is an AKC Judge Emeritus of Afghan Hounds and Greyhounds. He’s judged dog shows in Australia, Italy, Sweden as well as the Afghan Hound Club of America National Specialty Show.
